I was born and raised in the small town of Camden, Arkansas, where my love for home began long before I ever knew interior design was a career.

As a little girl, I’d spend hours daydreaming about what my future home would look like—how it would be decorated, how each room would feel, and all the little details that would make it special. Looking back, it makes perfect sense.

My mom had an incredible gift for creating a home that felt both beautiful and deeply welcoming. She had an eye for the details—the layered textures, meaningful accessories, and thoughtful finishing touches that made every room feel intentional without ever feeling staged.

As a child, I didn't realize I was being shaped by those everyday moments. I just knew I loved being home. Looking back, I realize she gave me far more than an appreciation for beautiful spaces—she taught me how a thoughtfully designed home can make people feel.

Growing up in a small town in the ‘90s and early 2000s, interior design wasn’t something people really talked about as a career. So instead of following what my heart had quietly known all along, I pursued what felt like the more practical path.

For over ten years, I’ve balanced a career in media sales with a heart that never stopped dreaming of interiors. I truly love collaborating with clients and building relationship through my marketing work. Eventually, I realized I didn’t have to choose between the career I’d built and the passion I’d always carried with me. That’s when I took the leap and founded Mary Catherine Designs.

I’ll never forget my very first in-home consultation. Instead of feeling nervous, I felt completely at ease—as if I’d been doing it for years. It was one of those rare moments in life where everything clicks. I walked away thinking, This is exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Following a dream later in life takes courage. While pursing a new path came with its share of uncertainty, I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my amazing husband and our two boys. They believed in this dream long before it became a business, and they continue to be my biggest encouragement every step of the way.

Since launching Mary Catherine Designs, I’ve had the privilege of working on projects of all sizes, but I’ve always felt called to something deeper than creating beautiful rooms.

I believe the best homes aren’t perfect—they’re personal.

They’re filled with laughter, everyday chaos, pets curled up on the sofa, late-night conversations, family traditions, and all the beautifully imperfect moments that make life meaningful.
